Naidu trying to convert Amaravati into a gated community

Machilipatnam: Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday criticised Leader of Opposition and TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu for his ‘arrogance and injustice’ meted out to the poor and accused him of trying to make Amaravati into a gated community for the rich by depriving the poor from owning houses in the area.
Announcing that he will launch a grand housing scheme for poor people in Amaravati on May 26, he said the government will give 50,000 poor families houses being built at a cost of Rs 5,000 crore.
Reddy said that the scheme is aimed at providing a decent living to the poor in Amaravati. He said that the scheme will also help to change the mindset of the poor people and make them self-reliant.
